we wont as far as we,re concerned they,ve sold us something they haven,t got.they have told us that they would offer us alternative accommodation ,,i said you dont have any that we would be happy to go in.She then said it could be accommodation they dont normally use but their agents in cyprus would look at alternatives. She also said olympic would not want to lose our booking,,so they would do everything they could to accomodate us, however at the moment they are still negotiating with the owners

Hi just seen previous posts. We have also booked Alia 1 for June next year. I have contacted Olympic this morning who said they had received several queries regarding this and as previously stated are in discussion with the owners. They said the booking still stood until they hear otherwise from their Cyprus office. They said they will certainly offer alternative accom. if it falls through and will keep us informed. Cheers Ralph & Tina.

I've just done a search today(9th Nov) for Olympic in Haraki and all that's showing is Chrysanthi and Castle View apartments and Porto Haraki studios...No mention of Alia so it looks like that's it

We've just booked for Chrysanthi Studios flying Saturday daytime flights from Manchester on 21st Sept 2013 - at £420. This includes additional baggage allowance and seats together as well as transfers and ATOL/ABTA protection. These were the only ones available but seem to have a good write up. We've been several times ans stopped at Alia 1 & 2. I would ask how can the forum get to Haraki on good flights, efficient transfers and acceptable accomodation - all protected. Is it worth all the hassle to plan the holiday yourself.

Hi Keith & Caroline. We have been booking independantly for several years now and never had a problem. The flights can be a bit on the expensive side depending when you are going and who you book with, but if you use a credit card and there is a problem you will get your money back even if you don't have insurance. With regards to the accomodation, all it takes is a phone call to the owner (we have never had to pay any money up front before we go, they are all very trusting). Transfers from the airport can be arranged, there are several people in Haraki who will pick up from the airport, or it is easy to just walk out of the airport building straight into a taxi which takes approx 40 mins and costs about 50 euros.

Some prefer a package holiday, some prefer independent. You pays your money . . . .

One other thing to look out for with Olympic is in flight meals. We went out to Haraki on October the 10th this year returning on the 24th. The flights were with Travel Services who did not provide any if flight meals. We are still waiting for a response from Olympic about a refund for the in flight meals which we paid. Today I had a look at their website about booking for next October and noticed they offer the option for an in flight meal which seems odd when the airline does not provide any meals. If you make a booking it would be wise to clarify the situation about in flight meals.
Les.

Possibly renegotiated the contract which means Pavlos may have jumped the gun...Or forced them to come up with extra cash...Fair enough
